Waiver & Terms and Conditions

This page explains the terms and conditions when using any of The Wellness Club Ltd’s services and facilities. By completing the form on this page, purchasing a ticket, or engaging with our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the conditions and agree to participate in any activity within your limits, listening to your body and ceasing any activity that doesn’t feel right, or if you have any of the medical conditions listed below.

CANCELLATION POLICY - CONTRAST THERAPY SESSIONS

This policy applies to all weekly contrast therapy sessions held at the Pukekohe Racetrack.

  • We require a minimum of 12 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your session.

  • Cancellations made within 12 hours of your session start time will be charged in full. This applies to all booking types including drop-ins, session passes, and memberships.

  • Passes and memberships: a session will be deducted from your pass or membership for late cancellations or no-shows.

  • We understand that life happens. If you have an emergency or extenuating circumstance, please reach out to us directly at hello@wellnessclub.co.nz and we will do our best to work with you.

  • If you need to cancel within the 12 hours please contact us via email at hello@wellnessclub.co.nz so the space can be opened up to those on the waitlist.

REFUNDS

All payments for event tickets, retreats, or the like are final and refunds are unavailable. You can, however, transfer your ticket to someone else. They will need to complete and sign the following waiver to participate. Please let us know via email if you wish to transfer your ticket and provide us with their name and phone number. No refunds will be given if you are unable to find someone else to transfer or onsell your ticket to.

MEMBERSHIP TERMS

The following applies to all TWC membership plans:

  • Memberships are billed fortnightly and your rate is locked for the first 3 months.

  • After the initial 3-month period, memberships can be cancelled at any time with 14 days’ written notice to hello@wellnessclub.co.nz.

  • Sessions do not roll over. Unused sessions within a fortnight are forfeited and cannot be carried forward.

  • TWC reserves the right to adjust membership pricing with a minimum of 30 days’ written notice.

  • Memberships are non-transferable and are for the named member only.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS

Activity: Contrast Therapy, Yoga, Pilates, Mindfulness, and Breathwork

You, as the participant, acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating in activities provided by The Wellness Club Ltd and understand that these activities may involve physical exertion, including but not limited to yoga, Pilates, contrast therapy (sauna and ice bath), mindfulness practices, and breathwork.

You understand that participation in these activities carries risks, including injury or adverse health effects. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to listen to your body, recognise your limits, and participate at your own risk.

If you are pregnant and participating in any movement or breathwork activities, please let us know how many weeks pregnant you are. Always listen to your body and only practise within your limits.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS – CONTRAST THERAPY

Certain individuals should not participate in sauna or ice bath activities. By engaging in any activities with The Wellness Club you confirm that you do not have any of the following conditions, or if you do, you have consulted with a healthcare provider before participating:

  • Heart disease or heart-related issues

  • High or low blood pressure

  • Respiratory issues (e.g. asthma)

  • Pregnant or postpartum

  • Open wounds or skin infections

  • Any serious medical conditions or illnesses

  • Sensitivity to extreme temperatures

  • Epilepsy or seizure disorders

  • Diabetes or blood sugar conditions

If you are unsure whether contrast therapy is appropriate for you, please consult your GP before attending and reach out to us at hello@wellnessclub.co.nz with any questions.

GENERAL SAFETY GUIDELINES

Hydration

  • Drink plenty of water before and after your session. Consider adding electrolytes to replace the minerals lost through sweating.

Health Conditions

  • Contact your GP if you have any concerns about safely using the sauna or ice bath. Avoid use if you are pregnant or have cardiovascular issues, respiratory conditions, diabetes, or recent injuries unless approved by a medical professional.

Emergency Procedures

  • If you feel dizzy or unwell, exit immediately and seek help if needed.

  • A first aid kit is available on site. The TWC team are trained in basic first aid and CPR.

Avoid Alcohol

  • Do not use the sauna or ice bath after consuming alcohol.

Cooling Down

  • Allow adequate time to cool down between sauna and ice bath sessions.

Listen to Your Body

  • If you experience any discomfort, exit the sauna or ice bath immediately. There is no “correct” duration – do what feels right for you.

Supervision of Minors

  • Children under 16 are not permitted to use contrast therapy facilities. Children attending events must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

SOCIAL MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY

Photographs and videos of participants may be taken during TWC events and activities for social media and promotional purposes. Please let us know prior to your session if you do not consent to us taking or using your image. Your preference will be respected without question.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the activities offered by The Wellness Club Ltd, you release and hold harmless The Wellness Club Ltd, its owners, instructors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages arising out of participation in these activities, including but not limited to injuries, illness, or accidents that may occur during or as a result of participation.

AGREEMENT

By attending a TWC retreat or event, or by completing any form on this website to purchase a ticket or session, you confirm that you have read this waiver in its entirety, understand the risks involved, and agree to participate voluntarily, assuming all risks associated with your participation.
