SAM - OWNER AND FOUNDER
With a genuine passion for wellness and a deep understanding of the mind and body’s potential, Sam is dedicated to helping you build strength, enhance mental resilience, and create a balanced, fulfilling life. As a mum of two and a healthcare professional for nearly 15 years, Sam has supported individuals through some of the toughest moments of their lives as a Radiation Therapist and she understands what it’s like to feel stretched, exhausted, and constantly putting everyone else first.
Sam is a qualified, evidence-based Mat and Reformer Pilates instructor who believes movement is essential not just to feel good, but to thrive. She combines the latest research with a personalised approach to make every session effective, fun, and accessible so you can progress at your own pace, feel strong, and enjoy the journey.
So why TWC? After years of living with chronic back pain, I was on a mission to find something that helped me. I knew it wouldn't be a quick fix so I started Reformer Pilates, and dabbled in breathwork and contrast therapy. I am now committed to helping others find the modalities that work for them so they can move fearlessly and understand that they are more than their pain. I know exactly how it feels to have very little time for yourself, to put everyone else first, and to struggle with motivation. The Wellness Club was created as a supportive, structured, and fun community where you can finally prioritise yourself, build a routine that sticks, and rediscover the joy in movement and wellness.
Sam’s blend of passion and compassion aims to inspire others to step out of their comfort zone and find that thing that clicks for them, allowing for a more happier and beautiful life.
ASH - CONTRAST CAPTAIN
Ash first discovered contrast therapy while living overseas in Oslo, Norway - and what started as a curiosity quickly became an addiction (the good kind). The experience was unreal. He walked away wanting more and has been hooked ever since.
For Ash, contrast therapy completely reshaped what health means. He used to believe being “healthy” meant thrashing his body in the gym or running himself into the ground through sport. Now, he sees it differently. Contrast challenges him in a powerful way - pushing his limits while also supporting recovery. The shift has been huge: deeper sleep, faster recovery, sharper mental clarity, and a stronger connection to himself.
What keeps him coming back? The feeling. The clarity. The calm. And that dopamine rush afterwards. It’s a reset every single time.
Outside of The Wellness Club, sport fills his cup - especially football. He plays as often as he can and watches as many games as possible (including 3am alarms to watch Liverpool FC).Fun fact: Ash is also a primary school teacher and has been teaching since 2019. Growing up in Rotorua, he was homeschooled - meaning the first time he ever stepped into a classroom was as a student teacher, not as a student.
At TWC, Ash brings energy, care, and an inclusive presence to every session. His goal is simple: help you feel safe, challenged, and completely reset when you walk out the door.
